Drawing

Hannah is a teen artist based in Abbotsford who works across a wide range of mediums—graphite, watercolour, ink, acrylic, and digital, choosing whatever best suits the story she wants each piece to tell.

Over time, she’s learned that a picture can communicate what words sometimes can’t. Speaking hasn’t always come easily for her, but she’s worked hard to grow more confident, especially in public settings. She finds she communicates best when she’s drawing, and even fiction writing feels most natural when she can sketch alongside her ideas.

Beyond her traditional work, Hannah is also a dedicated digital artist. Her exploration into digital mediums led her into the world of comic books as both an author and illustrator. Her first self-published comic earned her a District Scholarship, and she currently has three more projects underway.

Inspired by the stories and graphic novels she loves, she brings her own perspective into the genre—crafting character designs with a more conservative style that stands out in an industry known for the opposite.

When working traditionally, Hannah gravitates toward landscapes and animals, capturing the details and mood of the natural world. Her studies at the University of the Fraser Valley have strengthened her skills in human anatomy, colour theory, shading, lighting, and shape theory, all of which now show up in the depth and clarity of her compositions. Her line work, technique, and visual storytelling continue to evolve as she grows as both an artist and a creator.
